Counselors in Training and Near Peer Mentors
Near Peer Mentors are youth from Rockingham, Randolph, and Guilford County who have taken on the challenge of mentoring their peers. Some of our Near Peer Mentors are alumni of the BRIDGES program, and have come back to try their hand at leading their peers. Others are alumni of the IT for Girls camp, led by Dr. Iyer. Advanced Near Peer Mentors (NPMs) serve as Counselors in Training (CITs). CITs share more responsibility and serve as lead assistants for the instructors.
